Reducing Resource Use at the Seafood- Energy- Water Nexus: Focus on Efficient Production and Waste Reduction

Congratulations to James Anderson and Frank Asche for their recently funded proposal to the NSF/NIFA Innovations at the Nexus of Food, Energy and Water Systems program: “Reducing Resource Use at the Seafood- Energy- Water Nexus: Focus on Efficient Production and Waste Reduction”. This $2.5 million effort, a collaboration with researchers at Johns Hopkins and Arizona State, will measure energy and water use along the production chain of top products in the US seafood supply to target the most impactful energy and water use waste-reduction strategies for producers, processors, and consumers.
